New small oil sketch view from Liverpool Tate and large Liver building painting….

Went to the Jackson Pollock exhibition at the Liverpool Tate on Saturday, and as with most exhibitions the view outside the window was more interesting than the paintings in the gallery, mind you that’s how it should be!

Pollock’s work was interesting, not necessarily my ‘cup of tea’ but the quality of the work is beyond question, found it interesting that after getting criticism of an exhibition his work his work became more figurative  for a while and that period of work was certainly in my eyes heavily influenced by Picasso’s Guernica and related work!
